Carlon Resi-Gard Flexible Raceway Systems
The standard for low-voltage wiring varies from region to region. This standard has also changed over just a few short years. With the information technology explosion over the last two decades, we have seen Category 3 Cable replaced with Category 5 and 5e and for the last few years, Category 6 is taking over. When is Category 7 hitting us? Wait! What about fibre optics? It’s here isn’t it? Yes it is.
So, I have category 5e cable in my house. Now what? Should I change to Category 6? Replace it with fibre optic cabling? What? Rip apart my walls so that I can get faster internet?
These are tough questions. However, Carlon has created a low-voltage flexible Raceway System that will allow you to adapt to the ever-constant change. The conduit system (orange colour for low-voltage and blue colour for high-voltage) carries the cabling through the walls. If a change is necessary, you need only pull out the old and put in the new through the Carlon Resi-Gard Flexible Raceway System.
